Newer and popular technique that emphasis on achieving a natural look from hair transplants from the year 2000. The greatest strengths of FUT is the the graft sizes are determined by nature and the hair follicles are kept intact.

Follicular unit extraction (FUE) is a procedure for obtaining follicular graft units from donor areas on the scalp. FUE is performed by using a punch-like "circular scalpel" to score the skin and mid-dermis to a level of about 2 millimeters around a follicular unit, then gently extracting the FU from within the scored circle.

Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) is a hair restoration procedure for transplanting follicular unit in its naturally occurring groups of 1-4 hairs. Careful trimming of the donor tissue using high-powered microscopes produce more grafts than is possible with standard hair transplants.
