Graft excision
Graft excision is removes the worst of the unnatural or plug
like grafts of hair and are broken up into smaller follicular
units. Sometimes the grafts are way too big to be hidden or the
hair is going in a different (wrong) direction. In these cases
actual removal and re-implantation is required This can also
achieve excellent results when camouflaging would just simply
exaggerate the appearance of the bad hair transplants. Graft
excision usually occurs when :
|
○ The existing grafts are too large to be camouflaged.
○ There are grafts in an inappropriate location.
○ The hairline is too low or too broad.
○ The temples have been inappropriately transplanted.
○ The crown has been transplanted in the face of an inadequate
donor supply.
○ The hair direction is wrong.

Hair transplant reversal
Can be painful and create major scarring
The hair obtained from the excised grafts is placed back into
the donor area (in the exact location from which the grafts
originated). But it can be painful and create major scarring, if
the underlying skin is not significantly damaged, laser hair
removal is used to remove these grafts without additional
scarring.
Laser hair removal
For low hairlines, laser hair removal is the best option to
remove these grafts without additional scarring.
